Dr. Markos Botros was born in New Jersey. He completed his undergraduate studies in Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics at the Albert Dorman Honors College of NJIT/Rutgers University in 2002. Shortly after, he was recruited by a pharmaceutical company to work in their quality control lab as a chemist. While he very much enjoyed the rigors of the laboratory, Dr. Botros felt like something was missing. What he wanted was to work directly with people, caring for them and interacting with them on a personal level. A close family friend, herself a dentist, convinced him to volunteer and her office as a dental assistant. He took her up on her offer and never looked back.
In the fall of 2004, Dr. Botros began his dental education at the prestigious New York University College of Dentistry. After dental school, he completed an intensive, hospital-based general practice residency program at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in 2009. He is an active member of the American Dental Association and Orange County Dental Society.
